Nelson Randolph Standefer, 65, of Route 1, Dunlap, died Wednesday morning, August 29, 1990, in Bledsoe County Hospital.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Surviving are his wife, Hazel Sweatt Standefer; a son, Artie Standefer; a stepson, Robbie Lowe, both of Route 1, Dunlap; a daughter, Deborah Standefer of Gravsville; a step-daughter, Gail Lowe of Dunlap; a brother, Robert Standefer of Pikeville; two sisters, Sophia Brown and Ester Lee Turner, both of Pikeville; two grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, August 31, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leonard Cagle and Rev. Raymond Davis officiating. Burial was in the Collier Cemetery. Bowers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
