Robert "Lee" Standefer, 78, of Pikeville, [TN], died Monday, May 6, 1991, in Bledsoe County Hospital.

A World War II veteran, he was the founder of Standefer Pharmacy.  He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Standefer, Rose Nell McKinsey and Dessie Blackburn, and two brothers, Fred and Nelson Standefer.

Surviving are a daughter, Cyndee Strickland of Pikeville; a son, Steve Standefer of Route 4, Pikeville; two grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Strickland and Steven Matthew Standefer; two sisters, Esther Lee Turner and Sophie Brown, all of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Wednesday, May 8, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Kenneth Norris officiating.  Burial was in Collier Cemetery with military honors.  Putnam-Reed Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.

*Note: Robert was born December 19, 1909, the son of Arthur and Mary Etta "Mollie" Collier Standefer.
