Funeral services for James L. Sanders, 73, who resided on Marguerite Street in Carmi and who died Thursday afternoon in the Jarman Hospital in Tuscola, Illinois were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of the Kittinger Funeral Home.  He was born June 8, 1884, in Hamilton County, the son of Elmore and Nancy Lee Sanders. The reverend George Cox, pastor of the Carmi Pentecostal Church officiated.  Interment was made in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Ragsdale, Charles Stephan, Guy Mosts, Don Leathers, Beva Smith and Ben Cozart.  Soloist was Mrs. Marilyn Mosts and Miss Marie Morris served as organist.
