Leona May (LEE)  Sanders,  85 of Bloomingdale and formerly of McLeansboro, died 3:40 p.m. November 12, 1998, at Alexian Brothers Hospital, Elk Grove Village.

She was retired after  30 years as a garment worker for Elder Manufacturing Co. in McLeansboro.

Mrs. Sanders was born May 19, 1913, in Granite City, daughter of James and Effie (Cole) lee.  March 13, 1937 she married Leonard  Sanders, who died October 16, 1981.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with Rev. Gary Hall, officiating.  Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Macedonia.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at Harre Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by one son Roger Sanders and wife Mary Ellen of Oswego; three sisters, Blanche Shaw of Mt. Vernon, Edna Gordon of Crown Point, In, and Francis Richardson of Macedonia; one brother, Virgil Lee of McLeansboro and one grandson, Brady Lee Sanders of Oswego.

Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents and husband.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Macedonia.
