MILDRED ALICE DAILY WARREN

        Mildred Alice Warren died July 11, 1989 at 7:20 p.m. at the Manor Care Nursing Home, Hemet, California after an extended illness.

        She was born in Hamilton County, McLeansboro, the first born of Lewis A. Daily and Gladys A. Shumate Daily, January 13, 1913.

         She attended schools in McLeansboro and Benton High School.  She married William Lincoln Warren December 1, 1923, in McLeansboro.

        She is survived by her husband, one son, Joe of Anchorage, Alaska; one daughter, June Wertman of Unityville, PA; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister Daisy Hawthorne of Gibson City and one brother, Lewis A. Daily, Jr. of Danville.

        She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Audrey Jean Pement.

        She and her husband owned and operated the Elite Drapery and Upholstery Shop in Anchorage, Alaska for several years, during which time she had the privileges of redecorating the presidential suite of rooms at Elemendorf Air Base for President Eisenhower when he visited there in the mid-50's while in office.

        She resided in Alaska over 20 years, then in Seattle and the past 12 years in Hemet, California.

        A memorial service was held in Hemet with Father Joe Jvaire officiating.  She was cremated.  Memorials may be sent to the Lung Cancer Association.
