Last Will and Testament of Mary Stanford

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN. I, Mary Stanford of the County of Dorchester and Province of Maryland, being at this time sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory, thanks be to Almighty God for the same, and knowing of the uncertainty of this life on earth and being desirous to settle things in order, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following.

First. I bequeath my soul to Almighty God, my creator and my body to the earth to be burried in Christian manner as my executors shall think, and all my worldly good as followeth, revoking, anulling and making void all other wills heretofore made, declaring this to be my last will and testament.  I give and bequeath unto my trusty and well beloved friend Richard Pritchett the (sic) tusion and charge over and of my children until they come of age, and I do appoint constitute and ordain Richard Pritchett my whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this fifteenth day of April Com 1717.
