In the Name of God Amen. I, W. C. Stanford in the County of Grayson and State of Virginia being of sound mind and memory (blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Clarie Armintie Stanford all of my household furniture and all of my personal property to be hers forever. I also will and bequeath all my real estate to my beloved wife, Clarie Armintie Stanford, after selling a sufficient amount of said estate to satisfy all of my just debts. I further more will and bequeath that my beloved wife Clarie Armintie Stanford shall sell and convey a sufficient amount to satisfy all just debts I may owe and she makes title to same as I now could. I will and bequeath that my beloved wife Clarie Armintie Stanford do give to each of my living brothers and sisters one dollar each and to my deceased sister’s children one dollar divided by equal shares, and remainder of my real estate to my beloved wife Clarie Armintie Stanford forever.

I do nominate and appoint my beloved wife Clarie Armintie Stanford to be the sole executrix of this my last will and testament without bond. In testimony whereof and hereunto set my hand and seal and publish and decree this to be my last will and testament in presence of the witnesses named below. This the 12th day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Six.

To the Hon. R. O. Jackson, Judge of the Circuit Court of Grayson:

The above named Mrs. C. R. Stanford, Executrix of Wiley Stanford, deceased, exhibited before your undersigned Commissioner of Accounts on the 16th of March 1907, a statement of all funds which she received or become chargeable or disbursed within the year commencing April 1st 190[6] and ending March 16th 1907: together with his vouchers for such disbursements; and your Commissioner has stated and now reports the foregoing account of transactions of the said fiduciary, showing that she has fully executed the will of her decedent, except that she has not paid the legatee, J. M. Stanford, his legacy of one dollar under the will. Your Commissioner never completed this account until ten days & more after it had been mentioned in a list of the fiduciaries whose accounts were before him for settlement & whose names were posted at the front door of the Court house of the said Court on the first Monday in April 1907.
